As I said, it’s because of how fortunecity’s offsite image linking works. They don’t want people stealing their bandwidth, pretending that the images hosted on foretunecity are hosted somewhere else, so they have some kind of system in place preventing people from watching their images without going to their site first.

So how come you can still see them? One of two reasons. One, it’s quite possible that when you looked at the image on the fortunecity site (to get the url to link to here) your browser cached the image. Thus whenever your browser sees a request for that url it instead show the image from your cache.

And secondly, I think fortunecity stores a cookie or has some other setting on your computer saying something like “has been to our site, so let them see images”. After all, they need to allow you to see images when you visit their site.

Overall I don’t think their system is very good because I’ve been able to get the fortunecity image working just by visiting [i:2bja5ewe]any[/i:2bja5ewe] fortunecity site. It’s quite odd.

Moral of the story though… don’t link to images on fortunecity (and other sites with similar protection).

Hehehe... ok, got it, so I edited it and with the same picture but from another site. Please go to page 2 and tell me if you see it now, although it looks smaller than before is still cool.

Please tell me of any image you don't see, ok? if I can I will replace it with the same or another.
