Re: Happy Birthday, Irennan
Happy Birthday Irennan, my buddy, my friend! I hope Eilistraee, our dear Lady Silverhair, protects you, watches over, and gives you a birthday lap-dance.

Re: Vandria Gilmadrith
I have just recently read about this goddess, sister to Eilistraee some websites indicate. https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Eilistraee provides some information. Vandria, who is also the daughter of Corellon and Lolth (no Araushnee in core D&D), but an elven goddess rather than a drow one (though her h...

Re: Shining Sword of Magic
I', glad you enjoyed reading it, A lot of the swords original Higher level abilities tended to do a flat large number of damage either with no save allowed or requiring attack. When A ability flat out deal 500,000 point of damage you know your in a power fantasy adventure... I wonder how many other...

Re: Shining Sword of Magic
I had missed this post when you made it. Scribd won't let me make a trial account (because it rejects my card), so I couldn't download the sword writeup, but the post was an entertaining read regardless. Looks like Joe enjoyed making his players feel powerful, though maybe a bit too powerful, heh. ...

Re: D&D to remove inherently evil races
So, Re: Relenless. It tried to change the status quo of the FR re: the drow, which is DIRELY needed (totally agree on that), but it came off as a goofy attempt to me (can't say more without spoilering, so I'll discuss this in the spoilery part of the comment). MASSIVE SPOILERS BELOW . . . . . . The...

Re: D&D to remove inherently evil races
Ok, I just put in a bit of two-cents here and then skeeedadle. SO, I am pretty sure even R.A. Salvatore agrees with Irennan, since (spolier) the recent trilogy he release actual shows a massive tension between House Melarn (I freakin hate that they took that name) and House Baenre is starting to cau...

Re: Drow in Baldur's Gate 3
Well, it is nice to actually have the option to be a drow finally.... but, well... From this little teaser of what they are doing with the Drow in game, kind of seem like something Wizard might have mandated them to do. They have really hated the other drow deities for a long while now and having &q...

Re: This Offical 1st Edition AD&D Character Sheet Has errors!
It isn't really that surprising. If big companies like Hasbro/WotC can massively screw up on even basic lore continuity *and* have errors in the rules as well, smaller companies will of course have the same kind of troubles. Even though, I must say, this looks more like not caring about putting out...

This Offical 1st Edition AD&D Character Sheet Has errors!
I was Looking at the REF 2 Player Character Record Sheet Book recently since I had finally managed to find a PDF of it that had all 14 pages and I noticed the Spell list for Magic-user is full of errors in the Cantrip section. It list most of the cantrips as allowing save throws, which if you are fa...

Re: How to kill a tarrasque in 1st edition.
Well that does sound good. You should take a look at this site: http://www.rogermwilcox.com/ADnD/index.html One I found years ago. It is all about rules (and using them) and even adapted a little to Second edition. Here the characters even face their DM. I'm glad you like the idea and thanks for th...

How to kill a tarrasque in 1st edition.
So the tarrasque is a legendary hard to kill monster introduce in the Monster Manuel 2 1st edition book, now a days even getting away from an encounter with one alive is a pretty impressive feat. but, what if I told you in first edition AD&D it is possible for you to kill the tarrasque in two ro...

The books Have Arrived
Back in late April, I'd had ordered the 1st Edition AD&D Dungeon Masters Guide, Monster Manuel, and the Unearth Arcana from the DMsGuild and after a a first month of issues and a nervous second they finally arrived today, yeay!! So the cover and the text inside the Print on Demand versions is &q...

Re: D&D to remove inherently evil races
I wonder what they meant in the article when they said they were looking for freelance writers, I doubt they are looking for additional game designers.
