Een Jael's mask turned to look at the huge monk who greeted him, "I am involved because of... several debts I owe, and one owed to me. As for the big plan... well I might have one. If it all goes well, this lich will be dead, for good." He lightly jumped up onto a well lacquered table that must have been fairly expensive, "Now, I don't plan to know nearly as much about magic as a crazed lich, but I know a few tricks. If the thief is up to it, I could use her help with getting in." The featureless mask turned to regard Suru, "We are going to have sneak her in too, but I can take care of that. Once inside, it is easy for me to step between the shadows in his house and the ones say... here? This will be a one time trip, there and back. Getting the others in and out then falls to you, Lady Suru. Once the lich is dead the wards should be easily dismantled without his mind to sustain them." The heavily bandaged man crossed his fingers, "As for the ones who aren't magically talented... well cause some havoc, he is a lich, causing him some trouble should not be hard for you. I realize it will be dangerous, but if the guards are busy dealing with you, we will know where they will be.Those who can will need to provide the healing for that group. The thief and I will be trusting in stealth over taking the hits."

Cinder looked at the masked drow then back at the young child, it was true she was not a real child it was too easy to forget that. Still she was placed under hers and Adains protection. " I do not like the idea of using her to get in, is there not some other way something could happen to her "
" Kill Zyzzat this is not what we have in mind " Cinder replyed " He is our friend.

"Agreed," Adian said. "If his death is at all avoidable, we must do so. He will be a formidable ally if we can save him."

Bryzyne wonders aloud "But how did he become a Lich? Most who become a Lich go through quite the ritual and must drink a concoction so vile, that in essence it
kills most who drink it. Those who survive this drink become Liches. I have doubts as to how one could be tricked into becoming a Lich. There are good Liches, former
elves called Baelnorn. I also believe there are such creatures as Demi Liches of old. These may be good as are Baelnorn. Now I am presuming Zzat is a dark elf? How can one trick he or she? Drow have strong resistances to magic and trickery of the such."[/color:3cn9nry3]

She waits for an answer and sits in front of the bench cross legged.

Thoron mostly listens to his friend before adding. "I trust in Bryzyne's judgement and knowledge. Een Jael maybe we should discover first more about this Zzat before we decide our plan of action."[/color:3cn9nry3]

Een Jael looked between Cinder and Adian, "Of course, forgive me. How about you two just go and knock on his front door, and politely ask him to return the book. Cinder, you might even try your cutest face, it seems to work on him," The masked man nodded his chin at Adian, "If you do not have the stomach for this work yet, you are all free to go back to where you came from, and wait for the world to be overwhelmed by undead." Een Jael's voice was thick with sarcasm, "I had expected more from such seasoned adventurers as you all. Besides, you will not have to kill him. I, and I alone, shall be the one to strike the final blow, that much I owe that bastard." He reached up to his mask, and lifted it off his face. Like the rest of his body, his head was heavily bandaged eyes and nose covered completely by thick white strips. With a simple flick of his wrist, he undid the bandages on his face, and they fell away. His head was badly damaged, barely any skin remained on his head, and what was there wasn't the dark tone of a drow. Even the musculature underneath showed heavy damage. The man's eye sockets were empty, not even the eyelids remained. The man's teeth grinned eerily at the assembled group, his lips were missing, and yet he still somehow spoke.
[t:vkoyvenp]"Your friend's experiments did not stop with his own transformation." As he was rewrapping his bandages, Een Jael's face turned to Bryzyne, "The process he used is... quite mad and genius. Ask those two, they were there." When he finished, Een Jael once again put the mask on his face, "Oh, and before you ask, no I am not actually drow, or from House Hun'ana. I am however, on of your friend's experiments into the field of necromancy. Long story short, I am not quite an undead, but obviously neither am I fully alive. It's a nice tradeoff for the telepathy, it is quite useful in a fight, knowing what a person will do."

" It is odviouse you owe him nothing him having done this to you. But he is our friend, why he does what he does sometimes is very much beond me. " Cinder replied. " He saved the life my childrens father and we have every reason to try and save his if it can be done. As Adain said he is valuable alley in regards to ridding us of a world of undead, perhaphs you could put a side your revenge for this cause. We are hardly suggesting you save his life at the cost of what we are all here to do. You might concider what his value to our cause might be is all we ask. " Cinder replied to the ugly somewhat rude man.
" And as Bryzyne says there are good Liches. I would vouch that what ever he has in mind it is not sinister. " She said firmly.
Suru peered at the man supiously drinking her tea quietly not ready to speak.

Adian paled at the sight of the man's mutilated face. Zyzzat did that?

Goddess help them.

"If he did indeed do this to you then he shall answer for it," Adian said. "But not now. not yet. if we can save him he will be the greatest asset that we could have. He will have been in the enemy camp and is highly unlikely to want to end up in it again. If nothing else he is a valuable strategic asset. The scores between the pair of you will have to be settled if we succeed in getting this cursed volume out of the hands of these madmen."

Emotional appeals weren't likely to work: the man had a great deal of emotion in the other direction. The only alternative Adian could see was to present a rational argument. He would have to sit down with Zyzzat and work this out...if they survived all this.

" As for Drada, exactly how will you need her to get in the tower ?" Cinder asked Een Jael then looked over to Adain hoping for his oppinion on the matter, still unconvinced herself.

"I would like to hear your reasoning for that as well," Adian said simply. "I am not convinced bringing a child along with us on this is a good idea."

(( Just wondering Een Jael are you still standing in the middle of the table, changing your bandages ... LOL. I think maybe Suru may not be all that impressed with you :uh-huh: ))

Suru finished her tea and reached for a large strawberry observing the various colors of red inside the fruit as she bit into it elegantly. Suddenly her eyes flashed at Een Jael, she glared at him some what sturnly.
" Mr. Een Jael we have baths on the main floor perhahs i could call in Dahlia and she could escort you there and help with some fresh bandages and herbs that you might find comforting on your wounds. " She suggested as politely as she could muster.

"Okay. First and foremost Zzzzaat is a Lich so we prepare for the worst. And that is no matter who he is. Suru, If Een wanted some healing, he would have asked. I even offered but healing won't work he tells me. I am guessing because of his condition. Een is right, however. Spellcasters must attack from afar and people like Thoron and any others who can fight hand to hand go up front.

However we need to see him first and judge for ourselves about his intentions. As for a child. There is no way we bring an innocent with us. I have nothing more to add and I am sure Thoron feels the same."[/color:220oset5]

“I believe that I might be able to assist those who need a heavy hitter for frontal assault duties,” came a deep voice from behind the group as Veraka strode up to where Adian, Cinder, Thoron, Bryzyne, and Een were situated, the greatsword on his back thrumming as it detected Een Jael's partial-undead nature, while his bastard sword, Marala Vharc, was strapped on at his waist. His dragon scale armor mirrored his every movement.

"You'll forgive me if I don't see eye to eye with your plan of delivering a final blow to Zyzzat," the 6'7" paladin said towards Een Jael, his silver eyes glaring at the man, "however, I find it sorely difficult to believe that my mother would assist Zyzzat in achieving his lich-prowess without giving him a lot of trust, AND thoroughly going over his soul before hand. The Solars of Mount Celestia rarely grant such boons to mortals, even their own children; however, I suppose my mother is one of the more generous angelic souls there is in existence, I suppose." Though he hated mentioning his true heritage to newcomers, especially ones that he had almost no idea who they were, it was still pertinent information.

"Forgive my somewhat rude approach; However, I find it difficult to remain silent when talk of the possible death a comrade of mine is in the making. I am Veraka Orden, paladin and divine crusader of Bahamut, and commander of the Tempest Vanguards."

After that, a female voice cleared her throat, and when Veraka turned around to look, a fey'ri, with her wings closed around her, walked calmly out towards him, honey-amber curls swaying as she strode over to the group. Her crimson hued eyes met Bryzyne, Thoron, and Een Jael first. Her knee-high leather boots let off almost no sound as she walked forward, while pieces her light armor were visible on her shoulders and forearms.

"And it so happens that I am a married to this oversized, shiny battering ram of a male. Neriah Orden, of Mystra, at your service.” She gave low, graceful bow, before two little younglings came running out, shouting “Mama, Mama!!” Though they lacked the physical traits of their mother, the young boy and girl had a few traits of Veraka himself, particularly the boy having the same near pale hued skin as him.
The fey’ri turned her attention towards her son and daughter, unfurling her wings, and scooping them both up into her arms.

“Dante, Alasse!” Veraka exclaimed, turning his huge form to regard the children; “I thought I told you to remain in your room.” His paladin crossed his arms and gave the two young ones a stern look.

“Papa; we just wanted to see you and Aurora was asleep.” The young boy, Dante, replied. At that remark, a winter wolf came padding out of Suru’s estate and sat down next to Veraka.

[i:2omie7vu]I would like to make it clear that [b:2omie7vu]those[/b:2omie7vu] two little brats made my life a little bit more miserable while I was trying to take a nap.[/i:2omie7vu]
The platinum armored paladin shook his head, then glanced up at the group, and sighed; “Let me be the first to introduce my son and daughter, Dante and Alasse.” He introduced his two children to those who did not already know the twins.

“And this giant furball is Aurora, my winter wolf companion, and ally since my Uthgardt days.”

“Now, I believe that you all were discussing the possibilities of attacking Zyzzat’s tower.”

" The children's safety I think must be decided upon first, they would be safe here inside these wall i could call upon some extra reinforcement." she reassured.
Perhaps Neriah you might have some one or thing in mind as well that you might like to summon, there is plenty of room. "

Drada watched the children enter into the garden with a playful gleam in her eyes. she reached over and rapped her arms around Adain's neck " I would like to go and play with the children " she said hopefully, her excitement increasing as the white wolf softly padded over to the huge Paladin.

" This place is surprisingly safe Neriah i spent some time here as a child it is solidly fortified " Cinder said understanding her apprehension.

Adian patted the girl on her back with a smile.

"Go on, then," he said. "Have fun, but don't break anything. Or any[i:3i7m82o6]one[/i:3i7m82o6]," he added. Who knew whether or not this strange child had any extra powers even she was not aware of?

"Beyond killing Zyzzat," Adian said when he could safely return his attention to the discussion again. "Een's [plan seems to be sound: Simple and direct. The book, if present, is the primary target but we should try to capture his phylactary if we possibly can. Zyzzat was able to communicate its importance with his hands even while the other one possessed his mind and body.

"I suggest a scouting effort be made," he continued. "Purely reconoitering. A look at the layout of the building and the property. I volunteer the hummingbirds," he added with a teasing smirk at Cinder.

(( i just love it when you use big words Adain 8) haha .. had to look that one up ))

Brezz heard Adain's suggestion wile he was flying from bud to bud not far from were they were all gathered.
Cinder smiled back at Adain with a rised brow " that would accually work quite well, although perhaphs Brezz could take one or two of his hourd members, a flock of humming birds desending on his tower might not be as subtle. Cinder reached out and took Adians hand affectionately.
" Why don't you take a couple of your family members and try that Brezz " Cinder instructed.
" Does any one know exacally were the tower is? " she asked.
