OOC: Ooh, nice, choice!

IC: In spite of the number of ships destroyed, more continue to attack, and the bard growls in anger and frustration, sweat beginning to pour off his brow as he continues to control both guns. At last, the onslaught proves too much, and he fires off a few last rounds as he hears the alarm sound. The Nighthammer is being boarded- it is time to take the fight to the enemies, and show them just why it is a mistake to anger an E'Terrin'dar....

Jumping up from his post, he races out to meet the boarding party, the rail-gun still firing even as he dips down in mid-stride to whip his blades from their sheaths in his boots. He nearly snarls out the words to shift them to their true form, the exquisite matched sabers named Honor and Valor.

As the first group of aliens enters the corridor outside the gun-deck, a curse in drowish roared out in primal fury greets them- along with a blur of metal and flesh in blue, black, white and green. A strident battle-song can be heard echoing down the corridor, sounding strangely like a sailor's drinking song crossed with a warrior's hymn. As the aliens stare in confusion at the lone attacker, he pivots past the first two, slashing as he goes, until he is directly in their midst, in close quarters.

"Raise the flag of piracy-
Sing a song of victory!
For glorious in battle are we,
We've never known defeat,
We never will retreat.

We live to hear the cannons roar-
And terror is our semaphore!
Notoriously loathsome are we,
We rob the rich, the poor,
And steal a little more!

Victory- we fight to win!
Victory is ours again!
We are scourge of land and sea-
Beastly pirates are we!........."

Twin sabers flash in and out, as he quite literally dances around and among them, paying little heed to their weapons as the song rings out, giving confidence and strength to any defenders who hear it. In spite of his seemingly random moves and lack of concern at being surrounded by enemies, it is clear that under the look of wild abandon and joyous bliss etched on his features, there is a cool focus of awareness of his surroundings. He is everywhere at once, ducking, weaving, spinning and sliding from one foe to the next, his blades almost humming in time to his tune as they slash and cut their way through the ranks of confused and disbelieving aliens.

And the song continues unabated, unnerving to hear for those unlucky enough to be the targets of its singer. The sweat continues to trickle down his neck, hair starting to fall from its tie, looking for all the world like an insane whirlwind, twirling and kicking out in mid-air, only to land and change direction, dipping and sweeping legs out under enemy feet, swords weaving a pattern of death, leaving blood and chaos in their wake.

OOC: Yup, the boy's gone dervish again- at this rate, he's going to clear out the ranks pretty fast.....

Edge heard the blast through the hallway just as he noticed Drakin, the fat imp, and Lothir jump up and race into through the doors that led to the corridor. Right then, all of the view-port lit up as all of the stations AA guns came online and began to fire on their own.

Edge's face instantly went into a smile.
"The automatic defenses are back up, Ahhhoo. Alright Maryne, Lynx, Zana; you guys can stay on your current guns if you so wish, or you can join us outside cause it's gonna be hectic out there."
As Edge said this, he grabbed his M92 HMG, and cocked the weapon., as Stalker primed his rail sniper system and nodded at Edge.

The clones that Drakin and Grisnaw were following turned around a corner and ran head long into an enemy. The first of the clones were cut down before they had a chance to respond.

Grisnaw cried out in anger and jumped onto the alien, his four foot frame climbing the creature with his wicked claws and reached the aliens face. Once there he grabbed the alien's head in his hands and brought his face forward with a resounding crunch. The alien crumpled.

"Good helmet," Grisnaw commented at his handiwork.

Drakin rolled past an attack from one of the aliens as he came around the corner. As he rose he hamstung the one in front of him, leaving that one, and hoping that wyvern poison is as effective on these creatures as it is on many of the creatures on the surface. He then twisted to the right and buried a six in stiletto into the alien's head. Drakin smiled as the fight was on in full.

No Pity for the Dying;
No Tears for the Dead.

Lynx just smiled and repeated the same spell as before, releasing the turrels from her control... but this time animating the HVG and pointing out the targets for the gun, pretty confident it was going to continue rather effectively without her. Then as the massive gun fired on him own, sending a tremour across the cabin, she slid off the seat and paused, drawing her rapier. [i:195qb32z]Heh, never got a chance to get better weaponry. But oh well.[/i:195qb32z] Murmuring several incantations one after another, she prepared herself quickly... The ones around her would find they could move twice as fast as before, affected by [i:195qb32z]'Mass Haste'[/i:195qb32z] and feel inspired due to [i:195qb32z]'Emotion: Hope'[/i:195qb32z] - the spell she spoke of with Edge earlier. Lastly she concealed herself with [i:195qb32z]Improved invisibility[/i:195qb32z] and slipped toward the door to the corridor, watching Lothir going berzerk again.

Hearing the alarms, Ryltar grinned and began to make his way to the place indicated by the alarms. As he walked, he made sure to enchant his gear, a corrode weapon on each of the energy blades would add an extra bite of acid to their already effective energy beams. A Shadow Mask was then uttered to help prevent blindness and then a shield of ice,and finally shadows would coalesce over his form as he recited the incantations to the spells and expired the components from his bag, all the while looking forward to finally reuniting with Lynx once again.

"Come on, squad, let's go see if we can even the odds inside, ehh?" Onix asked Ironside and Pyro, as well as giving a glance down towards Vlad.

The four made their way back to the airlock right as a second boarding craft hooked up to the hull and breached through.

The first entry team of enemy troops entered the [i:2qaiu7zc]Nighthammer's[/i:2qaiu7zc] hullways through the breached hole in the hull. They made their way down the hallway, their sound-dampened boots absorbing most of their noise they generated.

However it wasn't noise that should've been their concern as Zarae's dagger plunged into the one in the rear of the formation. By the time the soldiers turned around, a second comrade of theirs had fallen, completely inert as the poison of Zarae's dagger coursed through his system.
This time, the leader of the enemy troops ordered them to open fire upon the drowess; lasers streaked in towards Zarae, just as she leapt backwards into a flip.
However, when the drowess landed a kick on another trooper, the rest of the enemies opened fire, their carbines blazing crimson traces of energy from their barrels. Even as Zarae leapt backwards, their weapons tracked her.
One of the troopers shouted “FIRE!!” and red energy launched forth from their weapons. One of the intruders was aiming, and true to his sights, launched a beam that would impact Zarae’s midsection, burning through tissue and armor as it did.[/color:2qaiu7zc]

When Onix made his way through hatch towards the lifts, he said “squad, be ready for anything.”
Ironside responded, “ready and raring, sir,” hefting his PB repeater as he did so .
When Pyro didn’t respond, Onix turned and said “Theta. . “ he let the words slip out of his mouth as he saw that Pyro had disappeared.
“Where in the blue blazes did he go?”
“No idea?” replied Ironside, looking around himself.
“Vlad, did you see our rocket launcher-wielding friend?” Onix asked the armored tiger as the doors to the lift opened.
The first group of boarders that blasted through the hull all met with Lothir’s blades, not that they really stood much of a chance to begin with, being only five of them. However, the alien troopers didn’t really care as they targeted the dancing bard with their carbines and letting loose a hail fire of lasers upon him. One went down to the dancing nut, followed by his teammate next to him.
Though all the while, another ship was pulling up and attaching itself to the hull. As Lothir’s whirling blades hacked down the third and forth invader, part of the wall blew inward and dozens of enemy troops swarmed in, lasers blazing away all the while. At least ten of them aimed at Lothir alone, tracking him with their weapons and then opening fire as soon as the bard cut down the fifth enemy in his path.
Red beams of death screamed in, aimed and well placed, for each was either for his head or chest, with more than two coming in at any given second. Two more primed grenades of their own and threw the explosives at the bard.[/color:2qaiu7zc]

While Lothir was singing away with his nasty work at hand, a squad of clones rounded the corner, right with Gris behind them. They run right into a barrage of fire from the now huge group of enemies within the hallway. Despite their armor and all their training, the commandos can’t hope to dodge more than twenty enemy carbines firing at them. All but two of them are gunned down, searing holes through their armor.
Right behind the commandos was a team of marines, whom immediately dispersed upon seeing their comrades blasted to the hells, and immediately begin to lay down suppression fire, though they’re still outnumbered by a 3 to 1 margin. Though soon after, the effects of Lothir’s song, along with Lynx’s spell, have a profound effect on them. They begin to fight harder, using each other as stepping stones to advance on the enemy. Even as the marines advanced upon the enemy, it was not at all a cake walk. By the time they heard the bard’s song and felt Lynx’s spell flow through them, three had been taken down.

Right as Edge and Stalker came out behind Drakin and Grisnaw, they took in the situation. Edge sprang into action, whilst Stalker entered an unusual, zen-like trance as he brought his sniper weapon to his shoulder, sighted a target, and squeezed the trigger. His railgun blasted outward as it sent its hypersonic slug down range and into the chest of an alien.
“Come on, Marines, someone get those men outta there, NOW!!” Edge barked at the troopers, bringing his M92 to his shoulder and firing off a burst into the head of a boarder. The marines spread out to form a somewhat-cohesive defensive line, bringing their rifles to bear on the intruders. However, none of them could get within reaching distance of the two injured and remaining clones.

The enemy that Drakin slashed went down moments later, the poison, perhaps not killing him, but nonetheless, having enough of an effect to cause a serious problem. When they saw this, the soldiers near him proceeded to open fire, their blasts scorching the wall near the assassin, a testament to the near death incurrence by the super-heated energy beams.
The one that was felled by Gisnaw went down hard, his head completely smashed in from the gargoyle. The intruder right behind the fallen one lashed out, the butt-stock of his carbine arching in fast, aimed for the gargoyles helmeted face.
“What the Hell is [b:2qaiu7zc]that[/b:2qaiu7zc]?” one of the soldiers exclaimed, bringing his rifle to bear on the imp, as did the four other boarders next to him.[/color:2qaiu7zc]

The deck rocked under Onix’s boots again as Lynx’s animated HVG fired off another burst of ultra heavy slugs. The clones within the lift would be confused as the lift came to a halt unexpectedly, only to have the doors open to a stunned Ryltar.
“Elevator going up?” Onix asked the drow wizard jokingly, but still with enough seriousness in his voice to be taken that he was saying ‘Get in’.

Drakin rolled to the floor as he saw the carbines pointing in his direction. As he rolled he could feel the heat generated by the lasers as they passed over him. He picked up a pistol as he came up from the roll, slashing upwards and into the torso of another alien.

He turned the pistol on another alien that was coming around the one impaled on his sword and pulled the trigger.

=========

“What the Hell is that?” one of the soldiers exclaimed.

Grisnaw looked up at the alien and smiled, even though he couldn't be seen under his helmet, and said, "Oh, I'm just the guy here to kill you, any other questions?"

Then he jumped onto that one. The alien soon found out that the gargoyle's skin was as hard as stone as it tried to punch him off.

Grisnaw just started to return the punches to it's head.

her adjustment in mid air was just a few seconds too late; and she realized it, trying to prepare for the inevitable. the laser tore through her abdomen a clean shot as she landed. her hand instinctively threw both daggers at the two remaining scouts before she collapsed to the floor, back against the wall. Zarae's breath was suddenly shallow and labored as excruciating pain wracked her body. the wound was serious, she knew as a matter of fact, her hand covering the hole in her, for what little good it did. it had been mostly cauterized, but her final movement opened it up and now her lifeblood was pouring from her body, covering the floor in a large pool as well as drenching her clothing and everything around; dark obsidian skin was becoming ashen, grey. hypovolemic shock set in. she then felt a numbness replaced pain, or at least she thought she did. an unusual sensation tingling her. (mental laps i think occurs)
if any could see her eyes were a brilliant blue hue; she was truly afraid, [i:zeskbspl]and alone[/i:zeskbspl]. but the life was visibly draining from them.
as much trouble she got into, she knew one day it would catch up and she would not get out. was this it then? what would happen now? the stubborn rogue tried to send a word to Shade who's been about but it was too late.

((hopefully someone finds me, and has resurrection spell...or im in trouble.
im not pulling out of the RP.))

In spite of the hail of fire, the bard continues his onslaught, his momentum and near-constant changes in direction making him harder to hit. Still, he feels the searing pain of a few hits, one tothe left shoulder that goes clean through, one to the right thigh, and another that wings him in the side, just above his left hip. For just a moment, the song falters, but he forges on, ducking, weaving, twirling like an insane tornado into the ranks of the next group, the tune changing to something darker, more harsh and violent, that somehow strikes fear into the alien soldiers. ( Five Finger Deathpunch- The Monster You Created: Link here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ppr5_QTWc24 He's PISSED!!!)

Undaunted by the wounds, he nearly stops dead when he sees Zarae go down, hit with a serious shot to the abdomen. An intense, almost homicidal gleam lights his eyes, and he roars out the words of his new song in an almost animalistic voice, the fierce joy of the battledance turning into something far darker and more frightening- the leaping, spinning, blade-whirling moves coming faster and with lethal results to those in its path, Those marines and clones still within range of his song feel another surge of energy, though this appears aimed at the enemies- leaving them dazed and awed by the display of coldly beautiful death. And it is spinning and twisting and sliding with gleaming blades right for them....

The half drow assassin that rolled outta they way was a lucky one; even as the enemy troops fired down upon him, one of them grunted as the shotel penetrated his armor, but not fully, as it didn't rip his flesh open. However the soldier went down, convulsing from the poison.

Another went down do to a not-so-nice groin shot from Drakin's pilfered pistol.

When the butt-stock of his rifle hit the imp looking creature, it went 'BINNNNNGGGG!' and recoiled as if the gargoyle had stone skin; a failing assumption that cost him a cracked skull and having his helmet blasted off. The face[/url:3pmdzruj] that was beneath the mask might give any near him an unsettling feeling.

As Lothir spins onward, now seemingly hypnotized within a single-minded fury, the second, much larger group of enemy soldiers, move out of his path, some diving or rolling under a blade at the last moment, though not all make it.
Two in particular, go down hard, with their entrails hanging out of their now-opened-up guts.

The enemies are back-up some, oddly-wondering, and somewhat chilled by the crazed bard's new song, but still they persist, firing down upon him. The lasers continued to sizzle in, perfectly aimed for Lothir. Again, two of soldiers primed grenades and lobbed them toward the bard, this time one in front and one behind. This time however, when they exploded, twin lights as intense as the sun would light up the entire area around him, blinding him for a while, given the fact that he was a drow.[/color:3pmdzruj]

Right as Zarae went down, a seven foot tall, exo-suit armored Pyro rounded the corner, only to nearly slip on Zarae's blood.
Seeing the young drowess on the ground, a laser wound through her abdomen, sent the clone into shock.

However his armor compensated for his bodies reaction. Within his helmet, Pyro heard a deep, metallic voice say 'Maximum Rage engaged'.
Even though his helmet was on, those near him could [b:3pmdzruj]feel[/b:3pmdzruj] something new come over the clone as his OMNI armor turned his body into a weapon. His adrenalin maxed out, followed by testosterone that flooded the clone's veins, bringing a once jolly Pyro over to a very darker side of being. His head throbbed, a pounding in his ears that eventually went away due to his veins swelling with ungodly pressure.

His eyes narrowed as he charged down the corridor, towards Zarae's attackers, each step creating a resonating 'THUD!'. With his exo-armor amplifying his movements, and his suit intensifying his rage, Pyro slammed into his first target with the force of a hurricane. Pinning the soldier against the wall, the enraged clone brought a balled fist around and into the troopers stomach, though he didn't stop there, as his armored fist went through the trooper. Red ichor dripped from Pyro's balled fist.

Releasing his first victim, Pyro swivels around to face his next target, and with one swift kick, nails the enemy where it counts.
The soldier goes down, grasping his groin and saying, in a very high-pitched voice, "nerny nerny nerny nernyyyyy."

The clone then slams an armored boot into the downed trooper, mercilessly squashing his head into a bits under 2 tons of power and pressure.

The clone was pushed forward a bit as his shields lit up, a laser blast being absorbed from behind him. Turning around slowly, Pyro saw his attacker, one of the two that Zarae had thrown her daggers at. This one had it still pinned in his armor. The clone reacted by throwing all of his weight into a Maximum Straight. The punch connected with the daggers handle and smashed the blade through the trooper's spleen. He cried out in agony as his body slowly started to fill with his own blood.

Pyro then turns upon another unlucky enemy and continues his mindless massacre of them, painting the hull-way red as Lothir does a bit of ways down.

Edge, who noticed Pyro come around the corner near Zarae, and begin his psychotic rampage upon the enemies nearest to him, noted an odd shimmer in the hall pass by him. Wondering what it was, he paused and switched visor moods, until he found himself staring at Lynx, who was cloaked by one of her spells, where he was looking.

His mind instantly came up with an idea; "Marines, put up a barrage; I don't want one of those fuckers getting near my brothers!!" he barked at the soldiers around him. They did as instructed, firing down range, their barrage providing the perfect cover for the magess to sneak in and nab the wounded clones out from under the enemy fire.

Lynx eyed the felled commandos on the floor and cussed under her breath. While she was cloaked by invisibility, she knew she could be seen in other spectrums, the knowledge granted to her by Lothir's wish spell. [i:1nhmmqoa]Since when did I get so suicidal?[/i:1nhmmqoa] She muttered and fingered her pouch hastily, locating the crystal beads, taking the two of them out -- [i:1nhmmqoa]I need to find more of those[/i:1nhmmqoa] - a stray thought came. [i:1nhmmqoa]Okay... One door to get to them, quick grab and a door out... As long as the line of sight is clear.[/i:1nhmmqoa] Her lips tightened and she felt the rush of blood, her heartbeat picked up. [i:1nhmmqoa]One... two... three![/i:1nhmmqoa] Quickly the lean elfess leaped into the corridor, ducking the lazer beams, murmuring the incantation hastily, [i:1nhmmqoa]Dimension Door[/i:1nhmmqoa] ported her right to the wounded men. [i:1nhmmqoa]By the Queen's grace...[/i:1nhmmqoa] She fell prone onto one of them, dodging a blast sent her way - perhaps somebody accidently fired her direction, then the magess climbed onto her fours, trying to drag the fallen commandos closer to each other so she could take them with her at once - being a perfect target for the enemies if they could see her.

Drakin pulled his shotel out of the first enemy and as he began to walk pass the second he said, "Sorry, won't miss this time."

He put the gun on the underside of the aliens skull and pulled the trigger, blasting the creature off it's feet and destroying its head.

==========

Grisnaw continued to punch and kick his way through what now seemed more like a brawl than a battle. As he jumped on another alien the creature was smart enough to not try and punch the small gargoyle, instead pulling out a knife and trying to stab him.

While it pierced his skin, it didn't go in far, though it still stung like the nine hells to Grisnaw. But he did what a dwarf always to him to do, not let go of your target once you have hold of him. Grisnaw headbutted the alien over and over again.

Once Grisnaw was done with that alien, he noticed some of the clones looking at him. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "'Tis only a flesh wound." And charged back into the melee.

=========

Scar took a different path to the same fight Drakin was in, coming instead behind the aliens while their attention was focused on the assassin in front of them.

He crept up on the first, and since they were taller than him, he kicked his foot against the alien's knee, buckling it. As the alien went down to its knees, Scar grabbed its head and twisted until he heard a sharp 'crack!' as its neck broke.

Ryltar quickly came into view as he plunged one of his enchanted energy blades into the stomach of one the invaders. Right after words, he'd quickly utter the incantation to a phantasmal killer spell as he blew on the coat dust he fished from a pocket into his palm and blew it out so that the cloud would go to the nearest soldier and attempt to scare him to death with his own darkest fears. Afterwards he'd toss out some curled white as he incanted the verbal components of a chain lightning spell to unleash streaks of electiricity at another group, his eyes peering about carefully for Lynx now.

The twin explosions go off, sending him reeling into a wall, causing him to lose the flow of his battledance. The jolt shakes him out of his odd mental state of half-rage, half-trance, and the song ends a bit prematurely. Staggering to the ground, he heaves in fatigue, face and chest soaked with sweat, hair plastered to his head, trembling, and glances over to Zarae. He swiftly dives over to her, ducking under as many bolts of enemy fire as he can, and digs into his belt pouch for his one potion bottle.

Holding her head up, he yanks out the cork with his teeth, and pours the dark red liquid directly down her throat, praying that he is not too late. A stray shot hits his arm, and he grits is teeth against the pain, as he tries to drag her out of the area of fire. <Goddess, HELP us!!> he pleads silently, realizing that the battle has turned terribly sour.

Zana looked for Vlad and the squad, and saw them, duking it out with a few drones. She looked up and saw five drones coming kamikaze style, and fired at them. Along with the fire from the others, they got taken down, but something still crashed into the hull.

She heard the sirens and the Captain's voice come over the intercom declaring a hull breach. She looked over her shoulder to see the team leaving their stations. She jumped out of the gunner seat and pulled the rifle she had acquired earlier off her back. By the time she got done looking at it and figuring out how to shoot, the others had mostly left.

She ran out of the station and into the hallway where they were fighting. Even though they were just about 15 to 20 meters down the hall, she still felt the need to try out the sniping weapon. She braced the butt against her right shoulder and aimed down the sites. "Time to take my first shot, " she mumbled to herself with excitement. She pulled the trigger. [i:qbhkmbd5]Click...click, click.[/i:qbhkmbd5]

"Oh, come on!" She exclaimed. Frustrated, she looked over the gun and saw a lever on the right side that she hadn't payed much attention to. "Hmmm," she pondered and gave it a pull. It slid back and she let it slide forward again and she heard a click. "Ah ha! Now I've got it!" She once again braced it against her shoulder.

She aimed at an alien closing in on the assassin, Drakin, from the side, also noting Scar closing in behind the aliens. She braced herself, expecting quite a recoil and squeezed the trigger. She watched as the slug hit its target through the head, shredding it. "Ooops, so maybe that was a little close for comfort," she snickered and whistled softly at the fact that the bullet had come a little close to the assassin.

Zana pulled the bolt towards her, engaging the next round. She grinned, liking the sound it made and took aim at the next. This one was quite a ways down the corridor and he was also taking aim, but at members of her team. She locked his head into the sights but noticed he adjusted his gun up a little. Reacting quickly she ducked, readjusted her aim and fired. She her a round sizzle above her, where her head had just been. "Hehehe, little too slow, pal."

She continued to look down the sights and snipe off those entering the fight or those also sniping. Another round sizzled passed her, startling her. It was time to find other cover. She ran the opposite way down the hall, away from the fight and found a small maintenance closet. The door opened without need for access code and she let herself in. She twisted around the corner, taking aim and shooting wondering when she'd run out of rounds.
