Going up, up, up!

Post by Lizarus Alkaven »

In the Sunstone Mask, Lizarus sat on the floor, thinking what he would do next. He got everything he wanted, but should he stay? He couldn't decide whether staying would be beneficial or not, so he decided to leave the Underdark, forever or for a time he didn't know but he would decide once he was out. He grapped a backpack, packed his things, and got out his weapon. He was ready to leave the Underdark. He went out a hall, to a tunnel that would lead out. It didn't take long to get to the tunnel, because he knew this place so well. He would not know the tunnel so well though, for he had only gone through that place once. This would be a long journey.

Breathing the dusty air of the tunnel didn't come naturally to him, but he got used to the Underground tunnel. He had his weapon out, ready to strike at anyone who posed a threat. While going through the tunnel, the long tunnel, he eventually got tired and sat down. He ruffled through his bag for some water, and sat back against the wall. "How long will this be?" he said softly. He sat down for a few minutes, but he knew this would be a long journey. However, he was trying to assure himself he would make it. If he didn't have courage in this place, he would surely die in this tunnel.

After three or so hours, he started to set out a bedroll on the flat rock. But should fortune betray him, and he would be attacked by drow, he buried bombs deep in the dirt. Infrasion could show the pressure plates, but still. He thought he could spend the night there. He set up water and bread for the morning, but he slept just a few minutes after setting the things up, he could now be attacked by whatever lurked in these tunnels. He still had a tent up, though, so it would have to crawl to get in. Either that, or be very small. But you shouldn't under estimate someone by size...

slowly it made its way down the tunnel silent as the death it promised. it craned its head as it heard the sounds from so far away. though it couldnt see well, it had hearing ten times more sensitive than even the best drow hearing. suddenly it picked up the distinct smell. it's masters nodded its approval. he took the magically heated sheet, and flashed it down the tunnel behind him, the signal that the trail had been picked up.
he then walked up and petted the creature's black, velvet-smooth skin and threw it a piece of raw fish.
"continue my pet" it cooed ever so softly and released the bat faced dog, a cavvekan.
