Oh, please, give me a breather. Appearance of another character may change how this situation will go. Maybe after we see if Jheral is to be executed or not.

*blink* What are you doing? It becomes easy for me to remove too much or total OOC in RP. Not sure what to do with yout OOC thread edits.
Also not sure why I am not seeing date of edit.

If something you posted should be removed that can be take care of.

Exectue Jherall, :) not likely. I did prepare for him being attacked, ya know :).

We do not have immortal characters. And even less of those who try to use harmful abilities on group with paladin in it and get away with it with no response from them.

Bhaern Quel, edits I did were purely cosmetic to edit grammar mistakes and put few details I got wrong when someone sends PM and states so.

The only "harmful" ability was the lowest level invocation that Jherall has. A paladin has good saves, so either he is reeling from the strength sapping effect, or he was able to shrug it off with hardly a worry. The low level guards are hardly worth mentioning, and the fire shield is not a dangerous spell. In short Jherall is an evocation sorcerer/warlock, not a necromancer.

Noting: throwing weak damaging spells is not funny or hardly forgivable action. Even if the saves were successfull. Especially if the person who did it has at least one parent known for destruction, murder and strife.

Use common sense.

Right, so because daddy killed people the kid has a tendency to kill stuff? That logic is sooo flawed on so many levels. Besides Jherall has amply shown that he has no practice in necromancy as he has obviously been focusing on evocation. As I said in character there is really no way to prove if a spell was cast without decent divination magic, which Jherall hasn't studied, and it is well beyond a paladin or a fighter.

You talk about direct fiend parent, so, duh!
Fiends are absolute dark evil creatures, the direct mortal progeny is corrupted in big quantities by his powers. That shows in many evil spell-like abilities which depend on HD and fixed alignment which is true in much greater percentage than drow.
If it was about tiefling, where ancestry has much less influence, there would be much more deviation from fixed alignment.

I apologize for any confusion, concerning Senmit and his combat abilities. He is written up from the Oriental Adventures Handbook, a native to the lands of Rokugan (which I am treating like a seperate landmass on the same world, beyond the reach of the charted seaways), hence his Samurai character class. Much of his training, and often solo adventuring, has been focused on a skill primarily for the Samurai Class, Iaijutsu, which he intends to eventually achieve a mastery of. Ultimately this technique is focused upon harnessing and focusing ki into a single devastating strike, which may shatter objects or even slay some enemies with a single strike. It does have some limitations in how and when it can be used, But, based on skill checks it can add as little as 1d6 to as much as 9d6 extra damage to an attack.

Additionally his two swords, are his Ancestral Daisho, weapons that are passed along through the family, always from father to eldest son. Through a process of sacrificing treasure and wealth in coin, at different levels he's been awakening the spirits of his ancestors who have carried these blades, each having become a magical weapon. One of them shows a golden aura, the other a pale off-white blue. Respectively the gold one adds an as yet small amount of Positive (aka Radiant) damage, where as the blue has yet to progress being a merely magical blade without additional damage types.

The katana with the Positive damage, obviously is extra effective against undead.

A few notes of interest: Tengu are able to treat katanas as Finesse Weapons. Also of note is the code of honor that Senmit goes by, made up of seven virtues, as follows, I'm sure everyone will find things to love and hate about this character in this RP.

[b:2z52u6bv]Bushido Honor Code (as described in the Oriental Adventures handbook):[/b:2z52u6bv]
Gi (Honesty and Justice): A samurai deals openly and honestly with others and cleaves to the ideals of justice. Moral decisions do not come in shades of gray, only right and wrong.
Yu (Heroic Courage): A samurai never fears to act, but lives life fully and wonderfully. Fear is replaced with respect and caution.
Jin (Compassion): A samurai takes every opportunity to aid others, and creates opportunities when none arise. As a powerful individual, a samurai has a responsibility to use that power to help others.
Rei (Polite Courtesy): A samurai has no reason to be cruel, and no need to prove their strength. Courtesy distinguishes a samurai from an animal, and reveals one's true strength.
Meyo (Honor): A samurai's conscience is the judge of their honor. The decisions they make and how they carry them out are a reflection of their true nature.
Makoto (Complete Sincerity): When a samurai has said that they shall perform an action, it is as good as done. They need not make promises; speaking and doing are as if the same.
Chugo (Duty and Loyalty): A samurai feels responsible for their actions and their consequences, and loyal to the people in their care. A samurai's loyalty to their lord is unquestionable and unquestioning.

((Yes, I admit these are written almost verbatim as they appear in the Oriental Adventures handbook, except that I changed gender-specific pronouns into 'they' and 'their' as necessary.))

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Rokugan a stand-alone setting that has little to do with Faerun? Though I have no problems about it being used to richen Kara-Tur part of Toril, some things in it like clans are not really usable. And again, do not forget NPC reactions on weird creatures, especially that exotic and at such time. Night of beasts, undead and such.

Somebody seen Vailintine around? We do not want to leave anyone behind.

Before everyone goes ballistic - what I meant by flash and loss of magic effect of armor is a subtle hint at antimagic aura. Well, I could post effect clearer, but frankly, I am not favorer of posting 100% hit post like our very delightful Vailintin. Plus, I have no idea what items are carried to describe effects clearly.

Cheers.

I would note that antimagic aura would usually cripple all magics including any other effects the blade would normally have. A Dispel Magic effect on the other hand, wouldn't be nearly as detrimental to the other powers on the blade, nor would it strip a paladin of his ability to cast divine spells. Antimagic affects both arcane and divine spell-casters. It's like a magic dead zone, where even divine powers just go *poof*. Actually I have many times experimented with the idea of creating weapons that have a dispelling effect on them, of differing magnitudes based on weapon type, size and material, intended as mage-slayer weapons. Plus this only interferes with particular types of magic, rather than negating all types.

Also, if I threw anyone for a loop with my own little plot twist, I did hang it out there, this was coming, and would hit. No one said anything against it happening, so there ya have it. The elusive and seldom RPed Gyssemitori clan in action, and that's just four of them, with only one into epic levels.

That's what you think. The thing that they do not fart lighting on each step does not mean they are not epic. ;)

By the way, the sword is not just any blade. The axe that was destroyed by rust too, but there is simply no save against that.
