[b:3jdzzqx4]Aliases[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Zylys Starharvest
[b:3jdzzqx4]Occupation[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Cloaked Dancer
[b:3jdzzqx4]Marital Status[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Uncommitted
[b:3jdzzqx4]Children[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Childless
[b:3jdzzqx4]Alignment[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Neutral Evil
[b:3jdzzqx4]Patron Deity[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Lolth/Hanali Celanil
[b:3jdzzqx4]Race[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Drow (Szarkai)
[b:3jdzzqx4]Gender[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Female
[b:3jdzzqx4]Height[/b:3jdzzqx4]: 5'2"
[b:3jdzzqx4]Weight[/b:3jdzzqx4]: 120lbs.
[b:3jdzzqx4]Age[/b:3jdzzqx4]: 82
[b:3jdzzqx4]Hair[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Frosty white
[b:3jdzzqx4]Eyes[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Pink
[b:3jdzzqx4]Description[/b:3jdzzqx4]: This peculiar elf stands a diminutive 5'2" and weighs a feathery 120 pounds. Her name, like many, contains the perfect description of her essence, "ivory breeze". Her entire visage is bleached of pigment; with hair that tumbles far pass her slender shoulders in coiling spools reminiscent of untampered snow. It cradles her heart-shaped face with a pair of long-lashed eyes that bore deep with a magenta intensity. As if wrapped in smooth velvet, her flesh is tight and unblemished - consistent ivory throughout her sylphlike physique.

[b:3jdzzqx4]Class[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Bard, Spy

[b:3jdzzqx4]Personality[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn is cool and collect; only finding herself enraged when absolutely necessary. She had been trained to keep her malicious temper low and eye for detail high. Well educated in the history and religions of the surface dwelling race, when times are appropriate she'll display her knowledge casually in conversation. She's not naturally sociable, but her mission requires her to mimic the more outgoing and pleasant mannerisms that most surface elves are known to express.

[b:3jdzzqx4]Weaknesses[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Melee combat, Combat, in general, Sensitivity to light, No proficiency with any kind of armor or shield, No proficiency with most large weapons.

[b:3jdzzqx4]Special Spells[/b:3jdzzqx4]:
- [b:3jdzzqx4]Clairvoyance/Clairaudience[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Clairaudience/clairvoyance creates an invisible magical sensor at a specific location that enables Mayssysn to hear or see (her choice) almost as if she was there. She doesn’t need line of sight or line of effect, but the locale must be known—a place familiar to her or an obvious one. Once she has selected the locale, the sensor doesn’t move, but she can rotate it in all directions to view the area as desired. Unlike other scrying spells, this spell does not allow magically or supernaturally enhanced senses to work through it. If the chosen locale is magically dark, Mayssysn sees nothing. If it is naturally pitch black, she can see in a 10-foot radius around the center of the spell’s effect. Clairaudience/clairvoyance functions only on the plane of existence she is currently occupying.
Arcane Focus: A small horn (for hearing) or a glass eye (for seeing).

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Detect Thoughts[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn detects surface thoughts. The amount of information revealed depends on how long she studies a particular area or subject.
1st Round: Presence or absence of thoughts (from conscious creatures with any intelligence).
2nd Round: Number of thinking minds and their intelligence level. This spell does not let her determine the location of the thinking minds if she can’t see the creatures whose thoughts she is detecting.
3rd Round: Surface thoughts of any mind in the area. A target’s alert prevents her from reading its thoughts, and she must cast detect thoughts again to have another chance. Creatures of animal intelligence have simple, instinctual thoughts that she can pick up.

Each round, Mayssysn can turn to detect thoughts in a new area. The spell can penetrate barriers, but 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks it.

Arcane Focus: A copper piece.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Detect Magic[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn detect magical auras. The amount of information revealed depends on how long she studies a particular area or subject.
1st Round: Presence or absence of magical auras.
2nd Round: Number of different magical auras and the power of the most potent aura.
3rd Round: The strength and location of each aura.

-[b:3jdzzqx4] Charm[/b:3jdzzqx4]: This charm makes a humanoid creature regard Mayssysn as its trusted friend and ally (treat the target’s attitude as friendly). If the creature is currently being threatened or attacked by her or her allies, however, chances of it being charmed are, of course, slim.

The spell does not enable Mayssysn to control the charmed person as if it were an automaton, but it perceives her words and actions in the most favorable way. She can try to give the subject orders, but she must roll with the Mind stat to convince it to do anything it wouldn’t ordinarily do. (Retries are not allowed.) An affected creature never obeys suicidal or obviously harmful orders, but it might be convinced that something very dangerous is worth doing. Any act by her or her apparent allies that threatens the charmed person breaks the spell. She must speak the person’s language to communicate her commands, or else be good at pantomiming.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Shadow Illusion[/b:3jdzzqx4]: it creates a shadow illusion that stalks the person that it was assigned to stalk and reports to Mayssysn about important things. Can be sensed by those with at least a 11 stat in Magic.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Suggestion[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn influence the actions of the target creature by suggesting a course of activity (limited to a sentence or two). The suggestion must be worded in such a manner as to make the activity sound reasonable. Asking the creature to do some obviously harmful act automatically negates the effect of the spell.

The suggested course of activity can continue for the entire duration. If the suggested activity can be completed in a shorter time, the spell ends when the subject finishes what it was asked to do. Mayssysn can instead specify conditions that will trigger a special activity during the duration. If the condition is not met before the spell duration expires, the activity is not performed.

Material Component: A snake’s tongue and either a bit of honeycomb or a drop of sweet oil.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Alter Self[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn assumes the form of a creature of the same type as her normal form. The new form must be within one size category of her normal size. She can change into a member of her own kind or even into herself.

She retains her own abilities. Her class, alignment, and stats, all remain the same. She retains all supernatural and spell-like special attacks and qualities of her normal form, except for those requiring a body part that the new form does not have (such as a mouth for a breath weapon or eyes for a gaze attack).

Mayssysn keeps all extraordinary special attacks and qualities derived from class levels, but she loses any from her normal form that are not derived from class levels.

If the new form is capable of speech, she can communicate normally. She retains any spellcasting ability she had in her original form, but the new form must be able to speak intelligibly (that is, speak a language) to use verbal components and must have limbs capable of fine manipulation to use somatic or material components.

She acquires the physical qualities of the new form while retaining her own mind. Physical qualities include natural size, mundane movement capabilities (such as burrowing, climbing, walking, swimming, and flight with wings, natural armor, natural weapons (such as claws, bite, and so on), racial skills, and any gross physical qualities (presence or absence of wings, number of extremities, and so forth). A body with extra limbs does not allow her to make more attacks (or more advantageous two-weapon attacks) than normal.

Mayssysn does not gain any extraordinary special attacks or special qualities not noted above under physical qualities, such as darkvision, low-light vision, blindsense, blindsight, fast healing, regeneration, scent, and so forth.

She does not gain any supernatural special attacks, special qualities, or spell-like abilities of the new form. Her creature type and subtype (if any) remain the same regardless of her new form.

She can freely designate the new form’s minor physical qualities (such as hair color, hair texture, and skin color) within the normal ranges for a creature of that kind. The new form’s significant physical qualities (such as height, weight, and gender) are also under her control, but they must fall within the norms for the new form’s kind. She is effectively disguised as an average member of the new form’s race.

When the change occurs, her equipment, if any, either remains worn or held by the new form (if it is capable of wearing or holding the item), or melds into the new form and becomes nonfunctional. When she reverts to her true form, any objects previously melded into the new form reappear in the same location on her body they previously occupied and are once again functional. Any new items she wore in the assumed form and can’t wear in her normal form fall off and land at her feet; any that she could wear in either form or carry in a body part common to both forms at the time of reversion are still held in the same way. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Disguise Self[/b:3jdzzqx4]: Mayssysn makes herself — including clothing, armor, weapons, and equipment — look different. She can seem 1 foot shorter or taller, thin, fat, or in between. She cannot change her body type. Otherwise, the extent of the apparent change is up to her. She could add or obscure a minor feature or look like an entirely different person.

The spell does not provide the abilities or mannerisms of the chosen form, nor does it alter the perceived tactile (touch) or audible (sound) properties of her or her equipment.

[b:3jdzzqx4]Magical Items[/b:3jdzzqx4]:
- [b:3jdzzqx4]Wand of Eagle's Splendor[/b:3jdzzqx4]: A smooth mahogany wand containing multiple charges of Eagle's Splendor, making an ally more poised, articulate and personally forceful.

- [b:3jdzzqx4]Potion of Sanctuary[/b:3jdzzqx4]: A thick, silvery liquid coats the insides of this potion's bottle. A soft, glowing light, the bearer feels almost protected from holding this potion. When the contents are drunk, the imbiber gains limited immunities against attacks, as if it absorbs damage.

[b:3jdzzqx4]History[/b:3jdzzqx4]:
Zylys Starharvest was born to Arìthus and Daesali Starharvest, a moon elf couple who resides on the outskirts of Silverymoon where elf and man coexist in peace. Both of her parents were druids who operated their own potion and herbs shop. For a job on the side as well as for recreational pastime, Arìthus danced at taverns and festivals. This art form is what she passed on to her daughter who picked it up with fervent enthusiasm and dedication, so much so that she was considered a prodigy. Using this path in her career, doors had opened for travel to different lands and perform this enchanting art for great sums of money. While Zylys' parents fed her nothing but the most uplifting encouragement and confidence, they insisted on staying behind to continue running their shop - the main source of their income.

But the matter of the fact is that Zylys Starharvest is merely a fabrication of someone's conniving imagination. The truth of the matter is that there is no Zylys Starharvest, or Arìthus, nor Daesali. The truth of the matter is that Zylys Starharvest's birth name is Mayssysn Melana who was truthfully born in the depths of the Underdark. This Mayssysn is, in fact, a member of the drow race. She was born with what many would call a deformity and what some would call a blessing. For Mayssysn came out of her mother completely white - albino.

If Mayssysn was born a few millennia earlier, chances were that she'd be killed right at birth. But now drow her "kind" have come to be revered as gifts from Lolth, herself. They were even given their own name, "szarkai," which in the tongue of drow means "ghost spiders." The children of the Spider Queen have recognized these peculiar creatures for the potential they propose. With snow-white hair and bone white skin (with the exception of pink irises that an enchantment could easily fix) these "ghost spiders" make natural spies to instigate conspiracies upon the surface.

Mayssysn was born to a common house, House Melana. This in itself, is rare for the fact that most reported szarkais have been born to noble houses. The reason could vary, but the most suspected is either in-breeding or the intentional dabbling of Lolth, herself. Either way, years prior to Mayssysn's birth, Matron Melana struggled to conceive. The continual lack of fertility led many male mates to their deaths until one, rather insignificant male had the matron showing gestational results; thus the conception of Mayssysn. However, the second Matron Melana looked down to view her heir, she gave out a raging scream with shock at the blinding sight of the colorless thing.

Before she could order the baby's death, a mid-wife and a nurse interfered with haste, persuading her to do otherwise. They revealed to her that her heir, despite the lack of any pigment, is an extremely rare blessing bestowed to her by Lolth. Her child, along with the slim numbers of her kind, would be the instruments they need to overpower the surface in dedication to their Spider Queen. Matron Melana immediately reconsidered the power she was about to abort, and soon after sent Mayssysn to be raised amongst the noblest houses where she would be kept secured from the mundane chaos of the streets and taught by the cruelest of priestesses to become a crucial agent to Lolth upon the surface. She would dupe the light-basking elves into accepting her as one of their own, all the while gradually and silently influence their society to warp in favor to her true race.

Mayssysn's task would start off seemingly simple - recording detailed reports on the geography of enemy elf territories and send them back to her house. Geographical data will become political data; Mayssysn will discreetly eve's drop, collect periodicals on the enemy's figureheads.[/color:3jdzzqx4]

Really? That's awesome! Haha!

What can I say? The szarkai are [i:3ilfqyhj]very[/i:3ilfqyhj] intriguing and complex creatures in their own right. Can't blame others for also perceiving them the same way as myself. ;)
