Jhaelystra's Bio

Post by Jhaelystra »

[b:1gpfib0k]Note- This is my dear Talwyn's writing. I'm the player of this character, but she is of his creation ^^ I didn't want anybody to think that I made her up ^^[/b:1gpfib0k]

Jhaelystra Uloavae
Height = 5’4”
Weight = 112 lbs
Build = like a dancers frame but not skinny. Lithe with a full figure
Hair = shoulder length silverly blonde hair with 2 braids
Eyes = violet with flecks of gold
Complexion = coal dark dusky skin almost navy blue

Jhae is 134 years old. She comes from a minor drow house called Uloavae from the city of Eryndlyn.
Her mother, Briza was the younger sister of the house’s matron mother. Her aunt, Baltana priestess of Lloth, was not always in control of her younger sister. Briza had 3 children, Lyme male [age =154] Jhaelystra & Olorae female [age = 68]. Lyme was taken to serve in the house guards and Jhae was going to be prepared to be inducted into the Llothian clergy.
Briza though felt affection for her children and began to think about the life she and her family had led. It was at this point that she met a drow male trader called Durdyn, who was secretly an Eilistraeen spy/scout who had come to the city to gather information and help drow escape if they truly wished it. They became lovers and she began to reject the ways of Lloth. Jhae began to suspect her mother was changing but do not turn her in. She became intrigued by Durdyn and the change he had made with her mother. Then the time of troubles occurred when the gods were cast down by Ao and magic in the realms went mad and became unpredictable. Selvetarm rampages through the drow city of Eryndlyn, attacking the faithful of Ghaunadar and Vhaeraun.

Briza & Durdyn seized this opportunity to use the chaos as a means of escape. With the help of her children, Briza and Durdyn planned a coup to over throw Baltana. They secretly had been recruiting other members of the house to their cause and had two thirds of the house one side when they made their move.
Everything went to plan however Baltana managed to flee before she was silenced and she raised the alarm. The rest of house Uloavae, the ones who were not part of the coup were quickly killed. The rogue house fled into the under dark, pursued by the major houses mothers of the city and their forces. They were chased through the Underdark on and off for 12 years when finally they seemed to be cornered and where about to be slaughtered by the Llothians lead by Baltana. In an act of supreme sacrifice, Briza and her son Lyme, gave their lives up and killed Baltana thus giving the rest of the house the chance to escape.
Jhaelystra and Olorae were heartbroken by their mother’s death. Durdyn buried his grief deep down and lead the survivors to the relative safety of the surface. However the matron mothers knew where they would exit the Underdark from and prepared an ambush. The survivors were caught and almost all where killed. Durdyn, Jhae, Olorae and just 6 others managed to flee but again were cornered.
Suddenly, just at the Llothians were about to finished them, they were set upon by a band of adventurers led by Chadin Samran & Talwyn Aureliano. The champions of Torm and their allies defeated the Llothians, killing a few of the matron mothers. Durdyn was mortally wounded in the fight, using his body to protect Olorae and Jhae. He made Talwyn & Chadin promise to take them and the survivors to the Eilistraeen sanctuary which they agreed to. It was here that Jhae met Talwyn. She had never seen a human like him before, a stranger who was kind, decent and caring to her and the remains of her house.

Jhaelystra is a vivacious woman, full of life and love. She loves to sing and dance and to read. She is careful though not to reveal her personality fully, she keeps her feelings close to herself, only letting those she truly loves and trusts implicitly to see the real woman. She is not shy but she is one who sits back and observes first, judging people carefully before coming to any decision about them. She is extremely intelligent but not always practical. She sometimes lacks common sense but this is due to her still being new to the surface world. She does occasionally forget things much to Talwyn’s exasperation. He sometimes jokes that she has the memory of a goldfish. She is not good with directions on the surface and relies on Talwyn a lot as her guide and protector. He is her rock, her life apart from being a priestess of Eilistraee. Her true desire is to settle down and have children, raising a family somewhere safe.

She loves listening to Talwyn’s stories and the travels he has done. She does get jealous though of his past loves and he has to be careful not to mention them. She gets moody on occasion, requiring some solitude to refocus her thoughts and feelings.

She still is drow though and it shows by her displays of a drow’s temper. She displays it by being waspish and a little vexatious at times. She is though kind and caring mostly but can be cold and harsh to those who earn her wrath.

She is very protective of her younger sister Olorae and the 6 survivors of her house. They are the family which she would die for and she makes every effort, almost to the point of paranoia, that they stay safe. She has a secret fear that all the joy she has found will be snatched away by the Llothians. She only has told Talwyn this and only he can reassure her that she is safe when she has those nightmares. The other secret fear she has not shared with anyone is the knowledge that she will outlive her beloved husband. She is determined to find a way to keep him young, to extend his lifespan beyond the normal allotted time. She will not resort to using necromancy but as the year’s progress she will grow sadder and more desperate as he ages before her eyes.

She loves to tease and flirt with her husband. She often is mocking and sarcastic with him but and only rarely cruel or hurtful. When she does act vindictive, she instantly regrets it and makes amends to as soon as she can. She does occasionally fight & argue with Talwyn as she is more impulsive and flighty than him which he finds annoying at times. She finds him to be stubborn and when he is annoyed with her, he digs his heels in and won’t budge with drives her mad however she soon calms down and uses her feminine wiles to change his mind.

She is very passionate and can be extremely lustful at times. She sometimes shocks Talwyn by running about nude and she loves to do this. She gets a thrill in teasing him, in enflaming his passions then leaving him to stew.
Her drow nature asserts itself at time and she gets aggressive sexually towards her husband, sometimes getting into a bit of rough play during their lovemaking. He has learned to tolerate her desires but he is not her slave and will never be. She respects his strength and the fact he won’t be her slave. She is really his although she always tries to dominate him, constantly testing him with teasing and games. Yet when Talwyn’s patience is exhausted with her games, she submits to him meekly and loves him all the more.

She is inquisitive and curious about the wider world and loves discovering new things. She really loves plants and has become a keen gardener when she is back at the sanctuary. Watching things grow fills her with quiet satisfaction and she is very proud of her vegetables and flowers which she has grown. She will often remark at meal times that a lot of the food being eaten came from her garden. This has lead Talwyn to tease her back by joking that anything new, “comes from my garden”.
She scowls at him & rolls her eyes but she loves the way in which he acts like a cheeky boy with her. She sees it as one of his most endearing qualities.

She doesn’t like stuffy officious people or those who are narrow minded and intolerant. She gets angry with stupid people and very mad with those are deliberately evil and cruel. She doesn’t put up with fools very well, and has not got great patience with those who repeat mistakes.
