Is she dead or not?

Since the Chosen of Eilistraee is a religious oriented player group, naturally there is a place to have theological discussions. That is in-game religions; please leave real-world religion out of it. Debate the fine points of a certain dogma, how a church can enforce worship while staying true to its tenets or simply why one deity is better than another one is. All are free to talk about it here.

I'm still optimistic that at least from what I've heard from those writers and designers who frequent CK, we will see her back. I don't mind if they don't focus on her to the extent that they did in, say, 2nd ed, (ie-we don't need a LOT of new lore, as long as she gets a nod here and there) but they have said several times now that ALL the gods will be back, and that is fine for me at this point. Even if all they do is give us a few bits about how she came back, like that cut material from the Menzo book, for instance, that is okay. I'm not even sure we need new novels with her, since the last few have not really treated her properly. Unless Elaine does it- then I'm all FOR it!
By the Dark Maiden''s grace do we meet. May she guide and protect us.

Well, here's hoping that she is brought back in 5th Edition. I've noticed that in Forgotten Realms, no god truly dies, and I think it was Bane who came back. If it suits their plans, they'll bring her back. And then hopefully traffic on this forum picks back up due to revived interest in her, lol.

Yeah, sure hope 5th brings her back. And as for only ragging on 4e for killing Eilistraee, pretty sure that there was plenty of hate about Mystra and Helm, back when a similar topic was originally posted. Incidentally, I kinda liked Vhaerun, too.
Oh, yeah, as to the above: pretty sure Ao killed Karsus, like, forever.

Oh definitely. In fact I think that in the D&D community, in general, there is far more dislike to Wizards killing Mystra than any other deity (including Eilistraee). Understandable as with that they pretty much killed the spirit of the Forgotten Realms.

Of course for me, and this website, I care more about Eilistraee. ;)

Damn, that was a pain to read...

Is ''she'' supposed to be Eilistraee? And the ones who wrote this worshippers of Ghaundadaur? If so, I wonder who might be even worse than him...

Mirror writing, well not quite, however clearly takes time to sort it out. reverse letters of each sentance and it almost makes sense.

Yeah, that p.o.s. took much longer to complete than I had thought it would. An easier way to read it is to copy and paste it into a backwards-text-translator - you should be able to find some on Google. Man, I had to edit and edit that steaming pile.

But still, as "Old Bill" once said, "Truth is truth to the end of reckoning."

Whether or not Eilistraee died in the LP trilogy is a big question. What do you imagine the followers of Ghaunadaur would do given such a situation? [i:2ymggr6j]...Just hang around?[/i:2ymggr6j] No way.

We were given our orders.

I'm sure Eilistraee wouldn't hide, if she didn't have pressing matters to deal with and plans to bring to conclusion for her people.

Try to carry out your orders as much as you want, you won't find her: she has got some sneaky and stealthy tricks up her sleeve now. If you manage to be annoying to the point of actually getting to her, well... she and her followers surely won't be scared to fight you, after all Eilistraeens are feared as extremely nimble and precise sword wielders for a reason.

And even if blades fail against your oozes...
