Dr Who

Post by Tyrmer »

I was just wondering if any of my fellow Eilistraeans were also Whovians in their lives outside of roleplaying and if they had seen any of the old series.

Master of the Lady's Dances
Recoverer of the Tome of Moonlight
Scribe of the Dark Maiden's Temple

I have watched a few of them, perhaps 100 to 200 hours worth og them (not counting repeats).

*Shudders*
I can't stand it... My parents love it, but I find it torture to watch.

Rooky: Dr Who is a fictional character created by the BBC that probably isn't broadcast in Croatia or wherever it is you live. And if it was you would probably be termed a Satanist for watching it, but seeing as you seem to be termed as a Satanist anyway I don't suppose you'd care.

Dr. Who is a timelord that is rather hard to kill, he regenerates (nto another actor, at least 8 people have played the Dr., with the SciFi series might be 9 now). The above URL will give dates of each Dr. and you can get some details of his adventures , in the past, current and future of earth and other plants.

I’ve read a couple of (translated) Dr. Who novels (though I really can’t remember anything about them) and I’ve seen a few episodes when I was a kid and seen at least one of the movies (with the Daleks invading London), but I never really followed the series.

I [i:fvnsgs7h]have[/i:fvnsgs7h] seen the complete first season of the new series though and though I thought it a bit silly I did quite enjoy it. I quite liked the Doctor’s sense of humor… too bad he ‘regenerated’ at the end of the season (it’d be interesting to see how the new actor does).

Of course the series has the same problems with time travel paradoxes and such as just about every other time-traveling story has. But I can overlook that. ;)

[EDIT] And I just love the Dr Who opening theme. :D

Woot! Dalek Invasion of Earth rocked. Lol the ytend to ignore paradoxes a lot, lets just say that Earth and the universe in general has begun, ended and had various mean things done to it a lot, often by different people at different times. Oh and yes the theme does rock too. :D

I don’t know; it has its moments.

Like from last Saturday’s episode with Madame de Pompadour:

The Doctor: Everyone has nightmares. Even monsters have nightmares.
Madame: What do monsters have nightmares of?
The Doctor: Me!

;)

Ok, so maybe I’m easily pleased. :tear:
