Eilistraee-themed carols

Postby Irennan » Mon Dec 12, 2016 3:44 am

In one of the Forgotten Realms Facebook groups, a few people started posting FR themed Christmas carols (some of which are actually rather dark), so I came up with one dedicated to Eilistraee.

♪ They set out in the silent night ♪
♪ Like dancing flames they whirl and leap ♪
♪ Black and silver under the pale moonlight ♪
♪ Beautiful, lithe and full of grace ♪

♪ A vital task they have on this special night ♪
♪ To slay another foe they prepare: not demon, devil, or undead ♪
♪ But the scariest monsters out there ♪
♪ Sadness and loneliness they crush ♪
♪ And with song, dance and gifts, a smile to your heart they bring. ♪

Or replace "they" with "she", if you want Eilistraee herself as the Santa of the Realms :p (which would be quite fitting, since her followers have "the Run", in which they travel on the surface world, going where they are strangers, reaching to elven and other races' communities to bring them food, joy, gifts and help of various kind).

I love this idea, Eilistraee is definitely my Santa ;). Also, I think we should call them Eilistrols. Hehehehe :) :P

I'd rather not name them like that, "Eilistrols" reminds me of an engine oil brand, lol.

I think a holiday themed thread like this could be nice to post in, Im guessing when it gets closer to Christmas then we can have a Christmas one as well.
