Ok, so I don't live in Germany and hardly speak a word of German, so this doesn't affect me directly. But it does give me a chance to change pace from talking about Dragon Age so much and point out this little roleplaying game that looks like it could be quite entertaining.

To start with there's a four-minute gameplay video up on YouTube which should give a decent indication of what kind of game it is. Though the voice-over is in German, it still gives a good impression.

RPGWatch also has an impressions article[/url:vpys2pnw] about the game from GamesCom. Here's an excerpt, though do note that this quote and the article itself contains a few spoilers about the beginning of the game:
[quote:vpys2pnw]You play Scarlett - a young girl living in a town several miles from Venice. She is at a party with her boyfriend, who has to leave on a mission the next day. During this party, the village is raided by intruders and Scarlett is forced to fight for the very first time in her life. She turns out to be capable enough in doing so, although at this stage she can only handle simple fighting combinations; over time, she will learn more complex combinations. Just as she is about to be defeated her boyfriend saves her but dies in the process. She is not given much time to grieve as she is warped to meet Death - who turns out to be her father - and who explains to her the situation with the necromancer and that she has some special powers, which she will need to stop him. And to do so, she will have to go to Venice.[/quote:vpys2pnw]
If you do speak German then RPGWatch also has a number of reviews[/url:vpys2pnw] up, which all seem to be quite positive (beyond some technical issues that look like they have likely already been resolved).
It sounds like it could be a quite fun game, a nice roleplaying game leaning a bit more towards the adventure side of things. The screens I've seen so far look quite beautiful and I just love her outfit.
The game is supposed to be released in English somewhere in October. Hopefully fairly early in October so that it can offer a nice diversion before Dragon Age in November. Visit the official site[/url:vpys2pnw] for more details.
