Pirate bay and 4shared. It is one of those things where you download to have it, but with dnd stuff I made it a habit to try to buy the books as well. So I have two media, and if I get a laptop, i'll put them on it and if I game some wheres I'll have a library for it all.

This applies to music as my reason for it is this. If I cannot find it online or in a store, how else am I to get it?

I agree with that tactic of your's, Zek; problem is like you mentioned earlier. The bloody price tags on those books. :/

Price tag, and the fact that I have other expensive hobbies, that being playing video games. 60 bucks for a game.. 100 bucks for ps3 LE and book to go with it. If I spent as much money on dnd books as I did on games, I'd have a very full collection.

Part time work doesn't help either.

At the very least you got money to spend on stuff. Hmm hobbies including video games, dnd, and other things (collecting swords  ) sounds like me and a couple of my friends.

Yeah.. problem? 99% of my rp for dnd is on here. Other problem? I spend 100 bucks and I still need to spend like another.. 300(most likely) just to get the other books needed to make full use. Most of what I'm getting is so that i can make a true full back story to my drow but possibly come up with games for here and other places.

This is a sad day for me. I read your synopsis of this book, and instantly started looking for this interesting sounding title. I could not find it anywhere. B&N didn't even return a search result for it. How tragic that a classic like that can't even be found at the biggest corporation of book dealers in the world.

Lol got to agree with Narsia. B&B didn't have it, neither did some of the smaller book stores have it. . . if anybody really wants one though, found some on Ebay for ~3-4$ lol.

A book thread- awesomeness!!

My faves include: Charlotte's Web (Loved it since I was a little kid, might explain my fascination wth all things spidery- including Spidey and drow!!)

Anything from Peirs Anthony and Anne MacCaffrey

Anne Rice's Vampire Lestat, Queen of the Damned, and Tale of the Body Thief- the best books in that series, IMO.

All of Salvatore's FR books

All of Cunningham's FR books, though Daughter of the Drow and Evermeet are my faves

And lastly, Marvel comics- I'm addicted, can't get enough of me Spidey, FF, X-Men, X-Factor, Avengers, Deadpool, etc....

BTW- for those who are looking for some different drow stories, I was recommended these by a fellow DA member named RollerBoyJeremy (Check out his(?) drow art and drow/D&D relatedcomic-art- it's great!!) This is what he sent me:

"Jet Mykles:
There's Taken, .... and Salvation, 6 books in all... Highly recommend them, they are like Dark elf Karma sutra really, NOT for younglings under 18 and definately best read alone!!!!"

I have not read them, but did read excerpts from them, and they were pretty good from what I could tell. I can say that these are NOT your standard D&D dark elves! (Pretty eye-popping stuff...)

Well, there is one on a torrent site the address of which regards pirates, but lets just say I don't encourage downloading a completely free copy from piratebay... Oops...
