You know what my favorite thing about this image is? The sword behind her is Glamdring the Foehammer. It's the Gandalf's sword and one of my favorites.

[quote="Irennan":2hhotxx9]If you want to look like a living blender... :p

Anyway, I've been browsing my D&D pic folder as of late, and I came across this quite tender scene. I can't remember who drew it, so I can't give credits, but here it is.

[img:2hhotxx9]http://i.imgur.com/K8oPb0a.jpg[/img:2hhotxx9]

Here are the lines, if they prove too small to read:
[quote:2hhotxx9]I will remember it always/
The night I stumbled upon your sacred grove/
I saw you standing there, clothed only in moonlight/
Your silver hair floating around as if a creature all its own/
You danced... it made my heart beat faster/
And took my breath away/
You sang that night. The goddess breathed a voice into your ever-silent lips/
Your holiest of rituals and there I was... the intruder/
Oh Astraea... my Astraea/
You should've killed me that night, you had every right to/
At least I would have died with your face in my thoughts/
But instead.../
I will remember it always.[/quote:2hhotxx9][/quote:2hhotxx9]
This piece speaks to me so much. Of course she didn't kill him, she saw the look in his eyes. He'd never seen anything more beautiful in his entire life. How could you be angry or even upset if someone thought that of you?

There's that, and there's also that killing someone just for seeing you dancing in the nude is an act of senseless cruelty that priestesses of Elistraee shouldn't even consider.

In any case, yeah, that piece touched me too.

Yes, I gave Gandalf's sword as ref to the artist. I really like how it looks, and it could fit Eilistraee's style very well.

Yes, thanks actually more what I think I meant. It's just not something a priestess or even a follower of Eilistraee would even consider.

Glad to see that the forums are back online.

To celebrate, here's some new art of Eilistraee

Lovely pic. That she's clothed in this one is rare enough on it's own to make it stand out.

...Is the site really back up? Parts keep going in and out for me and that red exclamation point next to the web address doesn't seem to bode well. :-/ Has anyone been able to get in touch with Shirl'e to find out what happened?

*Edit* NM, I totally believe it, the link on the Eilistraee site actually works again going to the forum index after being shorted for what, a month? So relieved. Looks like some parts remain down, though.

A quick commission of Eilistraee playing (an actual) harp: https://sta.sh/01cs2k6j1odk

Eilistraee feels a bit young in this painting, but I still like it. The artist originally drew her with lighter skin, that's the version he uploaded on his Deviantart:

Yo, got an new hand drawn picture of Eilistraee for you guys. I've been watching drawling tutorials by mikey mega mega, so I hope you guys like it. I'll be digital inking it and coloring.... but I have a question, do you guys know a good base skin color for drow. I've been using really dark blues and purple, but it doesn't really look right to me, so if you have any idea please tell me (if you know the exact RBG numbers that even better).

Enjoy!

IMO, the muscles and breasts are a bit too prominent for an elven body. Aside from that, it's pretty cool, thank you for sharing :)

Your chest line is consistently overtly high, particularly for the size of the breasts here, but the breasts and areola themselves have a more accurate yaw vis a vis your last image and you've done clean work on the waist, legs, hips/pelvis and hair. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Regarding the coloring, I personally usually use warm spectrum (red, yellow etc) or green blacks and grays, so if you're looking for a change you can always try giving that a whirl. Unfortunately I don't really focus on the color numbers though.
