Re: Hello everyone!

<r>[quote="Shir'le E. Re: Hello everyone!

<t>Well, that is a pretty minor thing IMO. What bothers me is that in the book she had eilistraeens go on an indiscriminate were-creature killing spree, no matter what they -as persons- are ('cause there's that scene with the kid that would have been slain if Ryld didn't act, and this is completely ...

Re: How Did You Find Eilistraee?

<t>[quote:12yqna5u]AD&D's Complete Handbook of Villains (which, despite the title, I still consider the best general character building sourcebook in all of Dungeons and Dragons) included the quote "Virtue untested is innocence". If that is true then Eilistraeen drow are far from innocent as the...

Welcome :)

Not many active people here, so you'll have plenty of time to get used (and things here aren't much different than other forums: just be polite, respectful and enjoy the conversations).

Re: The Sundering is actually going to bring back all the go

<t>

At this point, I guess that they may get mentioned in some other book, which is a good thing, but I really hope that they don't go on with that ''sacrifice'' BS about Eilistraee. It really didn't make any sense, she accomplished basica...

<t>With the latest Sundering book, Kiaransalee makes an appearence too (well, it's just some character who ''called upon her'' and nothing more, still...).<br/> <br/> This means that the Drow deities are getting some attention, the only two MIAs are Eilistraee and Selvertarm. <br/> <br/> At this poi...

Re: The Sundering is actually going to bring back all the go

You are quite confident about your world, beating Faerun in terms of details isn't an easy task at all :p

It sounds like you put a lot of effort in this project, and I must say that it got me curious. If you somehow manage to have it published, I'll surely give it a try.

Re: Alterations to Llolthite Doctrine?

<t>[quote:7ijvr32p] Of course it could be argued that the drow tend to be so well trained because they constantly backstab and kill their own. They've got great incentive to become highly trained. On the one hand out of self-preservation to survive the attacks from others. And on the other hand to b...

Re: Alterations to Llolthite Doctrine?

<t>IMO -Lolth or not- ''drow kill each other because of limited resources'' isn't very compelling as answer. That kind of situation can be solved through birth control, rather than random murdering, and I think that drow have developed quite efficient methods to gather the resources they need (breed...

Re: How Did You Find Eilistraee?

<t>I found about Eilistraee while reading the WotSQ series (I read it late, 2011-2012). I quickly lost interest in the books when I read about the sword/chosen gimmick (it seriously pisses me off when stories use such cheesy and stupid plot devices, I was like -LOL, really?-). Also, I didn't like ho...

Happy New Year. Lets hope it can wash away any bs people had to endure during the last one and replace it with happiness.

Re: The Sundering is actually going to bring back all the go

<t>Idk about severing the contact between mortals and deities. Maybe that was the original plan, but according to what I've read around, it looks like [i:d7e9raqd]every[/i:d7e9raqd] god (alive, dead, forgotten w/e) had some kind of backup plan in storing part of him/her/itself in a bunch of random c...
